Neuropsycology and Cognition Group
Our research aims to better understand the mechanisms underpinning attention, memory, executive functions
We are a research group within the Department of Psychology of the University of the Balearic Islands, the University’s Research Institute for Health Sciences (iUNICS), and part of the newly created Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria de Palma (IdISPa).
Our work involves experimental and neuropsychological approaches to cognition across the life span. While part of our research focuses on fundamental core mechanisms and processes, we are also interested in factors susceptible to affect these, positively or negatively. These include the effect of certain neurological and psychological disorders, emotions, physical activity and cognitive reserve.
